Believe it or not… WE MADE IT!!

Hello Moms, Dads, Grandparents, and friends, we are here in Brevard, North Carolina at the beautiful Wilds Christian Camp. We safely arrived at the camp this afternoon at 2:00pm. We made it, but not without several adventures on the way.
We left the church last night at 9pm. We made it to River Rd, when we realized that one young person did not have a very important medical device that would make the upcoming week much safer and more comfortable. So, one vehicle had to drive all the way back to south North Port and then come back, but when we caravan we do not leave one another, so the other two vehicles waited about 45 minutes at a gas station until the third vehicle was back and ready to leave. We were on the road and headed toward Sarasota at 10:00pm. We drove for about an hour, just getting through Sarasota an Bradenton when… BOOM! A tire on the trailer totally layed an alligator on the road. Don’t worry mom, there were no real alligators involved. The trailer blew a tire. So we pulled off to a safe place and our men got out of the vehicles and got to work. Within 35 minutes our men had the bad tire off and the good tire back on. We got back on the road. By this time we were back on the road again for about 45 minutes when I got a tip on the walky talky letting me know that our third vehicle could only go about 35 more miles, and we needed to stop for gas. So, we looked up the next gas station and realized that the next gas station was 11 miles ahead. So we knew (thought) that we had plenty of time… We didn’t. About 8 miles down the road, the Tahoe ran out of gas. So, two vehicles stayed back while one vehicle went ahead to get gas, the problem was it was around 1:00am and those gas stations were CLOSED. So instead, of getting gas there we drove ahead another 12 miles to get gas. We were only able to get two gallons, and they had no other tanks… So we drove all the way back those 14 miles and took them two gallons of gas. The problem is that with only two gallons, we were not sure if the Tahoe could make it 14 miles. So, we put the two gallons of gas in the Tahoe and them drove south, yes, south on 75, five miles back to get gas. So, over an hour later we were back on the road… Heading North!! 🙂 yay!!! So, we were hoping that you guys were praying us through the night. We got back on the road and actually made it 100 miles without stopping!!! Then our nerves started to calm and we for some really good distance down the road. Then, this morning, it happened again… Except this time, we had a flat tire on the Tahoe, the infamous Tahoe… So again, our amazing pit crew got to work, dropped the spare tire, removed the flat, and then put the new tire on. Before 45 minutes had passed we were back on the road!! We drove the rest of the way, and made it to Brevard for lunch around 12:30. We ate lunch, and then loaded up for the last time before camp. We made it to camp and got each teenager and camper into their cabins with their counselors!! God is good! It is so neat to see how every detail worked out to make sure that we had what we needed, exactly when we needed it! God gets all of the glory! It was definitely a struggle getting to camp today, but God worked out every detail. He has great plans for this week, and He made sure that we got here so that He could do a great work in the lives of your students this week! God is Good!! Amen? Alright, well, we will post a video soon! Thanks for your patience! Also, excuse any typos, I just typed this entire post up on my phone! 🙂 pray for us!! We Love you!!! 🙂
